NIAS - NSvP Fellowship

The NSvP fellowship programme offers scholars from a background in psychology from the Netherlands the opportunity to research a topic related to the future of work, the labor market, and human development. The fellowship is a collaboration between NIAS and NSvP (Nederlandse Stichting voor Psychotechniek).

About the NSvP Fellowship

Each year, NIAS invites a selected scholar to hold the NSvP Fellowship for a period of 5 months. The topic of the study must be related to the topic of the NSvP's annual conference. The purpose of the fellowship lies not only in in-depth-theoretical work but also in translating theoretical knowledge into practical solutions. The study of the fellow should be the beginning of a broader discussion of the NSvP conference topic, have an impact on practical day to day working methods of working, and should result in a solid end product.

Practical Information

NIAS offers one NSvP fellowship of up to 5 months per academic year (one semester). NSvP Fellowship includes a set commuting allowance (see also Facilities for Fellows), a personal study and research facilities.

Application and Selection

The selection of suitable candidates is a two-step procedure. The selection of applicants is the responsibility of the NSvP Board. The Director of NIAS will take the final decision to award the Fellowship to the proposed candidate(s).

About NSvP

The NSvP is an independent foundation stimulating the development of innovative initiatives which enhance the development possibilities of people in employment. The foundation tries to answer questions related to the labour market of the future and what this means for the development skills of the younger generations and people in employment. NSvP stimulates the sharing of knowledge and by supporting research projects. Each year a conference is held for which a specific theme is chosen and promoted.
